“Success is a journey.” This is a common phrase and quite correct. You never really become successful and then stop. Success is constantly flowing, like a river current. At times, the current is peaceful; at other times, violent and unpredictable. That is not just the journey of success, but the journey of life. We all strive for a peaceful current, but we all know how unpredictable life really is, regardless of how hard we plan for it. Yet, without that strain of unpredictability, life would be pretty damn boring.
This site is my personal journey. It’s a journey into the world of personal development, success, and liberty. I am not a millionaire yet. I’m not a sales or marketing guy; nor am I a professional speaker or coach. I’m a 40-year old computer manager with a great job and a good, solid life who wants to make my life even better. In making my life better, I hope to help make yours better too. But that is a decision for you alone. No one can change your life but you.
I’ll cover a wide range of personal development topics. I’ll offer my thoughts on the current development techniques and trends. I’ll share what has worked for me, whether it’s a time management technique or a new exercise routine. I’ll try it.
The key for you is a willingness to try anything, without fear. It may work, or you may fail. You won’t know until you try. Starting this site was a big hurdle for me to overcome. I feared that I would run out of things to write about. I feared criticism and ridicule. I feared the time it would take to manage the site. I’ve started blogs before but never kept them up because of said fears. Now, I am committed to writing three times a week and making this work. My goal is to provide you with helpful, if at times, a bit eccentric, tips and techniques to better your life while I better my own. We’re basically in this together, dear reader!
I plan on offering videos and podcasts in the future and who knows what else! I want to have fun with this. I’m not out to change the world, just change myself.
